This four-day course covers the theoretical material associated with water treatment in smaller water plants and distribution systems. In Class 1 a focus on safety, simple math and plant systems is covered. Administration, operator certification and a review of microbiology is included as well. The attendee is well prepared to write the Class 1 Water Treatment and Water Distribution certification exams at the conclusion. Throughout the course the AWWOA manual is supplemented with relevant hand outs and review quizzes to help attendees prepare for the final exam.
